Tree contractor Dan’s Excavating begins a two-week tree removal project along Sashabaw Road from I-75 to just south of Clarkston Road in Independence Township this week.
The work will be along the road shoulder during the day, causing minimal traffic impacts, according to the Road Commission for Oakland County.
A long-term Sashabaw Road project including sanitary sewer and water utility work is expected to start later this month. Sashabaw will also be widened to five lanes. One lane will be maintained in each direction throughout the project, which will last through 2019.
