University Notes for June 9, 2021

Rhianna Hensler, a Clarkston resident and freshman at the University of Notre Dame, was selected by the Atlantic Coast Conference for the Top 6 Service Award.
This award recognizes six student-athletes for their community service. Hensler, a member of the Notre Dame swim team, volunteers her time with ACE (Alliance for Catholic Education). She also won a Community Champion award from the University for her volunteer work.

Abbey Tolmie, a freshman at Central Michigan University and 2020 graduate of Clarkston High School, recently finished her softball season with the CMU Chippewas.
Tolmie was named to the second All-MAC Conference team and led her team in batting average, hits and runs scored. Tolme finished first and second semesters on the President’s List with a 4.0 grade point average.

Izzy Scane, a Clarkston resident and junior at Northwestern University, finished her lacrosse season named Big Ten Attacker of the Year, First Team All Big Ten and Big Ten Tournament MVP. Some highlights from her season included setting a single-game goal record with a career high of ten goals against Rutgers, March 19.
Scane netted eight goals against Denver in the NCAA second round on May 16. It brought her season total to 89 and broke the single season program record for goals scored in opening win of the NCAA tournament.

Lindsey Weber, a Clarkston resident and student at Michigan State University, was named to the All-Big Ten Dance Second team.
