Members of the Clarkston Area Lions Club will take to the streets and store fronts of the Clarkston area from April 26 through May 4 to raise funds as part of the annual White Cane Week.
“Lions Club members thank everyone who contributes to this important work. You are truly helping Lions make a difference in our community,” said club President Bob Murdock.
Donations help purchase eyeglasses and hearing aids for those in need, vision screening for pre-school children, reading facilities and materials for the sight impaired at Clarkston Independence District Library, and support for Clarkston Lighthouse, Leader Dogs for the Blind in Rochester, Lions Bear Lake Camp for Physically Challenged Youth in Lapeer, Penrickton Center for Blind Children in Taylor, Beaumont Silent Children Fund, and the District 11A2 Lions Hearing Program for Oakland and Macomb counties.
