Wolfpack Update for April 23, 2025

Clarkston Boys Golf
Clarkston Boys Varsity Golf competed in The Fortress Invite in Frankenmuth on Saturday, finishing in 12th place with 335.
Senior Vinny Giannini led with a 79. Senior Brady Ebling had a 84; junior Anthony Dubeck and senior Frank Stanek, both hit a 86; and senior Finn Mooney, 88.

Clarkston Boys Lacrosse
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Lacrosse team went 2-0 with wins over Bloomfield Hills-Andover and Forest Hills Central last week.
The Wolves finished the week with a 16-3 win over the Bloomfield Hills-Andover Nighthawks last Thursday.
Luke Darnell led with four goals and one assist. Parker Royse scored four goals, Travis Bordine had three goals and Sean Sinclair had two goals. Denny Wandrei had one goal and one assist. Jason Martindale and Damian Miller each scored a goal. Lucas Diton had six assists and Charlie Formaro had one assist.
Gage Preston had three saves in the net at Robert Haracic had two saves.
The Wolves defeated the Forest Hills Central Rangers on April 15, 13-7. Darnell led with seven goals and one assist. Diton scored two goals and had two assists. Royse had two goals. Wandrie had one goal and two assists. Formaro had one goal and one assist and Bordine had one assist. Haracic had five saves.
Clarkston hosts St. Andrews on Saturday, 2 p.m. and Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday, April 29 when JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.

Clarkston Girls Lacrosse
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Lacrosse finished last week with a 16-3 win over Avondale, April 16.
The Wolves jumped to a 2-0 lead in the first 34 seconds with goals from Aubrey Lobenstein and Aubrey Farner.
Addi Anderson scored a pair of goals at the end of the first half to send the teams into halftime with Clarkston leading, 11-1.
Farner and Claire Naboychik were the leading scorers for the night. Highlights from the night included Isabella Garcia, Makayla Truby and Emily Sherman scoring their first goals of the season. Truby and Sherman usually play defense. Lobenstein scored her first three goals of the season.
The Wolves lost to Oxford on April 14, 15-11. Naboychik led with four goals and two assists. Sydney Fischer scored three goals; Aubrey Reineck scored two goals; Farner had one goal and one assist; and Mischa Tolkachier scored one goal.
Another highlight from the week was Tolkachier played in the goalie position for the first time and made two big saves.
Clarkston (4-2) plays at Rochester Adams on Wednesday. They host Chippewa Valley on Friday and Royal Oak on Monday. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.

Clarkston Girls Soccer
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer team went 1-2 last week, opening with a 1-0 win over Birmingham Seaholm on April 15.
The Wolves lost to Lake Orion last Thursday, 5-0; and Romeo last Friday, 4-1.
Clarkston (3-4-1) is on the road this week. They opened the week against Berkley. They head to Royal Oak on Thursday; and Birmingham Groves on Tuesday, April 29. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.

Clarkston Softball
The Clarkston Varsity Softball team lost in their home opener in a double header against Lakeland last Thursday, 6-5 and 9-4.
They opened the week splitting a double header with Chippewa Valley on April 16. They lost the first game, 8-4; and won the second game, 17-8.
The Wolves (3-5) head to Hartland on Thursday, 4 p.m. They play at Detroit Country Day on Monday, April 28, 4:30 p.m.; and play a double header at North Farmington, 4:30 p.m.

Clarkston Track and Field
The Clarkston Boys Track and Field team defeated Rochester, 79.5-48.5.
Finishing in the top three to earn points in the track events were: in the 100-meter dash, Micah Chaney in first place in the time of 11.15; Pierce Peruski, third, 11.60; 200-meter dash, Chaney, first, 22.81; Hank Hornung, second, 22.86; 400-yard dash, Griffin Boman, second, 52.42; 800-meter run, Wendell Childs, first, 1:56.11; 1,600-meter run, Jaxson Nowik, second, 4:31.71; 3,200-meter run, David Dubeck, first, 10:15.39; Kent Wilson, third, 10:25.17; 110-meter hurdles, Malachi Switzer, first, 16.18; Daniel Hein, third, 17.52; and 300-meter hurdles, Switzer, second, 44.94.
Finishing in the top three to earn points in the field events were: in the shot put, Benjamin Ankrom with a distance of 48-05.5; discus, Ankrom, first, 134-10; high jump, Cameron Love, first, 5-10; Elijah Chaney, second, 5-08; Caleb Jones, third, 5-03; and long jump, Boman, first, 20-05.5.
The 400-meter relay team of Chaney, Peruski, Hornung and Gabe Van Goor finished in first place in the time of 44.65.
The 800-meter relay team of the team of Chaney, Boman, Van Goor and Peruski finished in first place in the time of 1:32.67.
The 1,600-meter relay team of Hornung, Childs, Joshua Ellingsworth and Cayden DeGrendel finished in second place in the time of 3:39.05.
The 3,200-meter relay team of Ellingsworth, Nowik, DeGrendel and Childs finished in first place in the time of 8:49.13; and the team of Kent Wilson, Trent Logan, Ryan Legg and Rylan Pullian, third place, 9:27.42.
The Clarkston Girls Track and Field team lost to Rochester, 90-38.
Finishing in the top three to earn points in the track events were: in the 100-meter dash, Scarlett Keenan in second place in the time of 13.18; 100-meter adaptive, Allison Thurman, first, 36.91; 200-meter dash, Caitlin Poterek, third, 27.84; 200-meter adaptive, Thurman, first, 1:29.15; 400-meter dash, Keira Zorski, first, 1:02.45; 400-meter adaptive, Thurman, first, 3:09.09; 800-meter run, Addison Brigham, second, 2:31.29; 1,600-meter run, Avery DeGrendel, second, 5:34.03; Kendal Russette, third, 5:54.68; 100-meter hurdles, Poterek, first, 17.65; Lily Colone, third, 19.77; and 300-meter hurdles, Riley Jurand, first, 50.62.
Finishing in the top three to earn points in the field events were: in the shot put, Aydia Bartz in second place with a distance of 30-09; discus, Bartz, third, 99-03; high jump, Carsey Collins, third, 4-08; Elliana Radke, third, 4-08; and long jump, Taylor Edmonds, third, 13-10.
In the 400-meter relay, the team of Poterek, Keenan, Emma Garner and Skylar Drinkard, finished in second place in the time of 51.91; Colone, Kaylin Ziemba, Drea DiJanni and Keilana Caputo, third, 56.31.
The team of Keenan, Poterek, Zorski and Drinkard finished in second place in the 800-meter relay, 1:49.56; and the team of Ziemba, DiJanni, Caputo and Colone, third, 1:59.57. The team of DeGrendel, Jurand, Marlayna Dropps and Avery DeGrendel finished in second place in the 1,600-meter relay, 4:21.80.
The team of DeGrendel, Russette, Brigham and Lucy Dubeck finished in second place in the 3,200-meter relay in the time of 10:14.63; and the team of Mathea Marcale, Audrey Hoang, Allie Walker and Anna Boham, third, 11:27.37.
The Wolves host Lake Orion on Wednesday, April 30.

Clarkston Boys Volleyball
Clarkston Boys Volleyball lost in their conference tri-meet against North Farmington and Farmington last Wednesday.
They lost to North Farmington, 25-15 and 27-25. Ryan Gifford had five blocks and three kills. Henry Rowe had three kills. Eddie Zarzycki had 13 assists. Logan Fuller had a 2.2 pass rating on 20 attempts and Devon Yang had a 2.5 pass rating on eight attempts.
The Wolves lost to Farmington, 25-14 and 25-18. Gabe Howe had four kills and Bennett Beckley had two kills. Zarzycki had three aces and 11 assists. Fuller had a 2.0 pass rating on 16 attempts.
The Wolves defeated Farmington on April 9, 25-16 and 25-12. They lost to Lake Orion, 2-1, as Clarkston won the first set, 25-22, and lost the next two, 25-16 and 15-12.
The Wolves defeated both Milford and White Lake Lakeland 2-0 on April 10. They won both sets with the score of 25-18 against Milford. They defeated Lakeland, 25-18 and 25-13.
The Wolves head to North Farmington for a conference tri-meet on Wednesday. They head to Lake Orion for a conference quad on Wednesday, April 30.
