Wolfpack Update for January 12, 2022

Clarkston Boys Varsity Basketball went 1-1 last week.
They closed the week with a 44-29 win over Troy on Friday.
Nate Steinman led the team with 13 points and three steals. He had two field goals which put him as the 18th player in school history to make at least 65 3-point field goals in a career.

Keegan Wasilk had 11 points and seven assists. Cavanaugh Diton had seven points and four rebounds. Zach Austin had seven points and three assists. Brody Kosin had four points and five rebounds.
Clarkston JV and Freshman teams also posted wins with JV winning their game 50-37 and Freshman, 46-30.
The Wolves lost to North Farmington on January 4, 45-43.
Steinman led with 15 points and two rebounds. Austin had ten points and three rebounds. Kosin had six points and five rebounds. Wasilk had three points and 13 assists which set the school record for most assists in a game.
The previous record was 11 assists by Wasilk against Utica Eisenhower on December 8, 2021; and Foster Loyer against Southfield in 2018 and Bloomfield Hills in 2017.
They opened the week at Detroit Cass Tech. They head to Oak Park on Thursday and host West Bloomfield on Tuesday, January 18. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.

Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball had a big win in Southfield last Friday, 77-38.
Maddy Skorupski led the team with 26 points. Izzy Hadley scored 21 points while Keira Tolmie had nine points and Sophia Walker had seven points.
JV remained undefeated with a 61-28 win over the Warriors. Elia Morgner had 20 points. Marley Mazur scored 12 points. Elle Hernandez had nine points and Claire Walker had seven points.
The freshmen team traveled to Lake Orion where they had their first loss of the season, 54-15.
The Wolves opened the week and 2022 at West Bloomfield on January 4.
The varsity team lost their game, 80-65. Hadley led with 28 points. Skorupski added 21 points during the night and Tolmie had nine points.
JV won their game against the Lakers, 51-33. Hernandez led with 19 points with five field goals in the night. Morgner had nine points, Sydney Mutter had eight points and Tavi Butki had seven points.
The freshman team won 42-20 in their game. Keira Zorski had 17 points and Lauren Fishtahler had 14 points.
The teams opened the week against Troy. They head to Stoney Creek on Friday. Freshman play at 4 p.m., JV is at 5:30 p.m. and varsity follows.

Clarkston Varsity Hockey shutout Utica Eisenhower at Suburban Ice Macomb on Saturday, 4-0.
Eric Wade, Brendan Rhodes, Cristian Walk and Devon Collis each scored one goal and had one assist during the night.
Sabre Koleber had two assists. Blake Botterill and Dutch Snyder had one assist each.
Parker Pace was goalie in the shutout with 19 saves.
The Wolves lost to White Lake Lakeland on Thursday, 4-2. Walk and Brandon Clements scored one goal each. Botterill had two assists and Evan Adams had one assist.
Pace had 23 saves in the net while Clarkston made 32 shots on goal.
The Wolves (6-7) play M-1 Griffins at John Lindell Ice Arena in Royal Oak this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and again on Saturday, Jan. 22 at Detroit Skating Club, 8 p.m.
They play Romeo on Monday at Mount Clemens Ice Arena at 7:20 p.m.
