Wolfpack Update for January 19, 2022

Clarkston Varsity Wrestling battles Oxford this week for the OAA Red title this Friday with both teams undefeated in the league.
The Wolves posted wins over OAA Red foes Rochester Adams and Rochester on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
Clarkston opened the night with a 48-29 win over the Highlanders.
They scored with four pins starting with Preston Lefevre in 103-pound weight class over Matthew Spuck, 3:25. Brady Vogt (119) pinned Antonio Randazzo, 2:28; Brock Trevino pinned Andrew Romanski, 1:35; and Trent Geiger (215) pinned Haeseon Yoon, 4:57.
Archer Anderson (112), Augusta Anderson (130), Ryan Rector (140) and Cayden Strong (145) won their matches with voids.
The Wolves won their dual match against Rochester, 50-24.
They had three falls with Augusta Anderson (130) over Ian Mertz, 45 seconds; Brock Trevino (189) over Jack Lower, 1:05; and Trent Geiger (215) over Andrew Khoury, 3:20.
Cayden Strong (145) won his match with a technical fall over Ronin Mason with 16-0 with 1:24 left in the match.
Ethan Lefevre (160) won his match with a 11-6 decision over Quentin Hatchett.
Preston Lefevre (103), Archer Anderson (112), Brady Vogt (119) and Connor Newton (135) won their matches with voids.
The Wolves hosted the Clarkston Duals on Saturday with Hudson going undefeated and winning the annual event.
Clarkston won their dual over Richmond in the first round, 41-33.
Wins with falls came from Andrew Mazo (140) over Wyatt Peters, 1:35; Archer Anderson (103) over Joey Jarvis, 1:20; Preston Lefevre over Cooper Honold, 31 seconds; Brady Vogt (119) over Jacob Fink, 5:39; and Augusta Anderson (130) over Brian Nichol, 47 seconds.
Wins by decisions: Ryan Rector (135) over Connor Bergeon, 5-4; Cayden Strong over Aiden Bergeon, 12-2; and Ethan Lefevre over Jackson Lacek, 12-0.
The Wolves lost to Hudson in the second round, 56-16 with wins from Archer Anderson (103) over Josh Deline with a fall; Augusta Anderson (130) over Austin Marry with a fall; and Brock Trevino (171) over Logan Ryan, 15-2.
Clarkston lost their dual against Jefferson in the third round, 36-31.
Wins with falls were Ethan Lefevre (152) over Ronnie Allen, 2:45; Brock Trevino (189) over Anthony Cousino; and Augusta Anderson over Dylan Garcia, 3:40.
Wins by decisions, Cayden Strong (145) over Matre Pearson, 15-2; Matteo Marino (171) over Kam Woiderski, 15-8; Preston Lefevre over Issac Masserant, 10-5; and Archer Anderson (112) over Cody Richards, 9-7.
The Wolves hosts Oxford this Friday at 5:30 p.m. They will honor seniors Trent Geiger, Gabe Gipe and Andrew Zarzycki.
Clarkston will also feature youth clubs from both communities and have free admission for youth club members.

Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball won their road game at Stoney Creek last Friday, 50-43. Maddy Skorupski led with 31 points. Izzy Hadley had eight points and Sophia Walker scored six points.
They defeated Troy on January 11, 60-35. Skorupski led with 28 points. Keira Tolmie had 11 points. Hadley had eight points and Emily Valencia had seven points.
The Clarkston Girls JV Basketball team remained undefeated with a 55-32 win over Stoney Creek on Friday. Elle Hernandez led with 16 points. Elia Morgner had 13 points and Claire Walker had 12 points.
They defeated Troy on Jan. 11, 41-15. Morgner had 14 points. Claire Walker had 12 points and Elle Hernandez had eight points.
Freshman Girls Basketball team defeated Stoney Creek last Friday, 55-25. Lauren Fishtahler led with 14 points. Keira Zorski had 13 points and Avery Ritter had nine points.
They also won their game against Troy, Jan. 11, 38-35. Fishtahler had 17 points and Zorski had 16 points.
They opened the week against Milford. The JV team hosts St. Mary’s Prep and varsity hosts Ypsilanti on Friday. They host Walled Lake Central on Monday and head to Royal Oak on Tuesday.

The Clarkston Boys Varsity Bowling team won their OAA Red division match against Lake Orion on January 10, 17-13.
Christian Bradford had a game of 201; Gavin Rogers had a game of 190; and Ian Dembinski had a gram of 180.
They also won their OAA Red division match against Avondale, 29-1. Christian Bradford had a game of 253. Rio Westlund and Rogers both bowled games of 201. Nathan Sayyae and Nick Stephens bowled games of 195.
The Wolves opened 2022 with a 28-2 loss to Farmington in a OAA crossover match. Bradford had a 264 game and Sayyae had a 229.
The boys JV team had a 30-0 win over Avondale, January 6. Dembinski had games of 174 and 154 for a 328 series.
They lost to Lake Orion, 28-2, with Grayson Glifford bowling 141 and 150 for a 291 series.
They lost to Farmington on January 5, 25-5. Wes Atteberry had a 186 game.
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Bowling team had a 27-3 win over Avondale, January 6. Madison Kortman had games of 156 and 169 for a 325 series. Gabrielle Preston had a 177 game and Katie Stephens and a 152 game.
They lost to Farmington on January 5, 28-2. Kortman bowled a 187 and Preston had a 150.
They lost to Lake Orion on January 10, 26-4. Stephens bowled 190 and 172 for a 262 series. Kortman bowled a 169 game.

Clarkston Varsity Hockey lost to M-1 Griffins on Friday, 4-2.
Evan Adams and Dutch Snyder each scored one goal. Devon Collis had two assists. Blake Botterill and Gino Giannini each had one assist.
Parker Pace made 20 saves in the net while the Wolves made 17 shots on goal.
They opened the week against Romeo with a 2-1 loss.
They host M-1 Griffins on Saturday, Jan. 22 at 8 p.m.
They compete in the Michigan Public High School Hockey Showcase in Chelsea on Thursday, Jan. 27, Friday, Jan. 28, and Sunday, Jan. 30.
