Wolfpack Update for May 14, 2025

Clarkston Boys Golf
Clarkston Boys Varsity Golf finished in first place at the Charger Invitational held at Flint Golf Club on May 5.
The Wolves had three medalists with sophomore Chris Quayle finishing in second place with an overall 68; senior Braden Waechter, fifth, 71; and senior Calum Hartner, 75. Junior Anthony Dubeck finished with a 76; and senior Finn Mooney, 79.
Clarkston finished in second place in the Wildcat Invitational at Pheasant Run Golf Course in Canton with a 312. Salem finished in first place with 310.
Quayle finished in fourth place with a 75. Waechter, junior Ryan Wilford and senior Brady Ebling tied for 13th place with a 79. Mooney finished in 18th place with 79.

Clarkston Baseball
The Clarkston Varsity Baseball team swept their series against Lake Orion last week winning all three games.
They opened the series with a 2-1 win on May 7. TJ Hyde pitched for six innings with three strikeouts. Chris York pitched the last inning. Rich West had two hits and one run. Colton Williams had a hit and one run. Caden Wilson had a sacrifice fly with one RBI.
The Wolves won game two last Thursday, 5-4. Dylan Johnston pitched for 6.2 innings with no earned runs and six strikeouts. West had two hits and one RBI. Williams had a double and one run. Parker Lewis had two hits, two runs and one RBI. Griffin Hetrick had one hit and one RBI. Wilson had a double and one RBI. Lucas DeBell, Connor Paul and York each had one hit.
Clarkston ended the series on Friday with a 6-3 win. York pitched for 6.2 innings with three earned runs and six strikeouts. DeBell had two walks, one run and one RBI. Paul had one walk, one run and RBI. Johnstone had one hit and one walk. Williams had a sacrifice fly and an RBI. Lewis had two hits and an RBI. Nick Miller had two hits and two runs. Hetrick had a double and a walk. Wilson had a hit and a run.
Clarkston split their double header at Milford on Saturday.
They opened with a 2-0 win in the first game. Gavin Bond pitched for two innings with two strikeouts. Hetrick pitched for three innings and four strikeouts and West threw for two innings and had a strikeout. Hyde had two hits and an RBI. Miller had a double and RBI. Paul had a double. Brody Denver had a walk and a run. Cody Fleming had one hit and one walk. Eli Kern had one hit.
Clarkston lost the second game, 7-3. Schneider had five strikeouts and three earned runs. DeBell pitched for 1.2 innings and had four strikeouts. Bond had a hit and an RBI. Lucas Cain had a hit, a walk and an RBI. Kern had two hits. Hunter Kauth had a hit and a walk. Ethan Kern had a walk and a run. Aiden Corsiglia had a walk.
The Wolves (13-11-1) opened their 3-game series against Rochester on Monday. They finish on Friday at Rochester at 4:30 p.m. They head to Walled Lake Northern for a double header on Saturday, beginning at 11 a.m.

Clarkston Girls Soccer
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer team lost both their games last week to Lake Orion and Troy Athens.
The Wolves opened the week with a 4-2 loss against Lake Orion on May 6. They lost at Athens last Thursday, 5-0.
Clarkston (5-6-4, 4-3-3 OAA White) opened the week against Grand Blanc. They host Goodrich on Friday. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.

Clarkston Softball
The Clarkston Varsity Softball team went 3-3 last week. They opened the week with a 13-7 and 16-2 loss to Dakota on April 5.
They split their double header against Stoney Creek, losing the first game, 13-6, and coming back to win the second game 7-5.
The Wolves won their double header at Bloomfield Hills on Thursday with 21-5 and 11-7 victories.
Clarkston (12-10) opened the week against Fraser and Rochester Adams. They host a double header against Lake Orion on Wednesday, beginning at 4:30 p.m. and host Oxford on Tuesday, May 20.

Clarkston Girls Tennis
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Tennis team finished last week with a 8-0 win over Lake Orion on Thursday. They lost to Utica Eisenhower on Wednesday, 7-2.
The Wolves host the MHSAA Division 1 Girls Tennis Regional 7 meet this Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. Teams competing in the region with Clarkston are Davison, Lake Orion, Lapeer, Oxford, Rochester, Rochester Adams and Waterford Kettering.

Clarkston Boys Volleyball
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Volleyball team defeated Hartland, 3-1 on May 5.
They won the first set, 25-18. They lost the second set 25-22 and bounced back to win the last two sets, 25-20 and 25-15.
Gabe Howe had nine kills and one block. Henry Row had 14 kills and two blocks. Eddie Zarzycki had five kills and one block. Oskar Benson had two kills and four blocks; Oliver Ward had three kills and two blocks; and Ryan Gifford had two kills an two blocks.
