Clarkston Baseball
The Clarkston Varsity Baseball team went 1-2 in the Oxford Strong Classic last week.
The Wolves opened the series with a 5-1 win over the Wildcats on April 28. TJ Hyde was the winning pitcher, throwing for five innings with one earned run and seven strikeouts. Blake Schneider pitched two innings with three strikeouts.
Rich West had a double, a walk and a run during the game. Dylan Johnston had one hit, one run and one RBI. Connor Paul had one hit and two RBIs. Lucas Herring and Colton Williams both had two hits and one RBI. Chris York had one hit and one walk.
Clarkston lost to Oxford, 13-3, April 29; and 8-5 on April 30.
They lost to Allen Park on Saturday, 7-5, after coming back from being down six runs.
Due to weather, the Wolves opened their 3-game series against Lake Orion on Wednesday. They host Lake Orion on Thursday and Friday, both games start at 4:30 p.m. They head to Milford on Saturday for a double header beginning at 11 a.m.
Clarkston Boys Golf
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Golf team finished in ninth place in the Embers Boys Golf Tournament at Edgewood Country Club with a 323 on April 28.
Sophomore Chris Quayle led the team with a 78. Senior Finn Mooney and junior Ryan Wilford each hit a 80; and junior Anthony Dubeck and sophomore Matthew Drake each hit a 85.
Clarkston Girls Lacrosse
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Lacrosse team went 1-1 last week, opening with a 17-6 win over Royal Oak on April 28.
They lost on the road to Rochester on April 30, 12-11.
The Wolves (5-4) opened the week against Farmington on Monday. They head to Lake Orion this Thursday. They are back home on Monday, May 12 when they host Troy. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
Clarkston Girls Soccer
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer team went 1-0-2 last week in their three away games.
They opened the week with a 3-0 win over Birmingham Groves on April 29. They tied against Birmingham Seaholm on Thursday, 2-2; and Davison on Friday, 1-1.
Clarkston (5-4-4, 4-2-3 OAA White) opened the week against Lake Orion. They head to Troy Athens on Thursday and host Grand Blanc on Tuesday, May 13. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
Clarkston Girls Tennis
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Tennis team went 2-2 this week.
They finished the week with a 9-0 win over Okemos on Saturday; and also defeated Birmingham Groves 9-0 on April 29. They lost to Rockford on Friday, 6-3; and lost to Cranbrook on April 28, 5-3.
The Wolves (7-4) host Utica Eisenhower on Wednesday, 4 p.m. They head to Detroit Country Day on Monday, May 12, 4 p.m. Clarkston hosts the MHSAA Division 1 Girls Tennis Regional 7 meet on Friday, May 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
