Daily travelers on Atwater Street will be happy when the road reopens at the end of the month. The improvement project includes adding another left turn lane onto M-24 and restriping. Construction is being done all the way to Heritage House. According to Lake Orion Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel, there is a possibility the rest of Atwater will be paved using Downtown Development Authority and Major Street funds.
