Equestrian Team wins district title, heads to state finals

The Oxford High School Equestrian Team won the district title in September and competed last weekend at their regionals at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds, where they placed second and earned a trip to the state finals in Midland, Oct. 12-14. Coach Dee Shepard said the girls should be ‘very proud of themselves? for ‘stepping up to met the challenge head on.? The team consists of captains Kellie Roth and McKenzie Willis, Christina Henry, Erica Henry, Bridget Standifer, Cidney Fritche, Kaitlin Trezil, Kristin Gaines, Rachel Caputo, Rebekah Bertapelle, Jozlyn Clasman, Carly Eisenhardt, Angie Pollack, Megan Rieker and Natalie Musgrove.
