Art and wine to collide, with mysterious results

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Next week, however, art enthusiasts across Lake Orion will gladly exchange those thousand words for a simple clue.
It’s all part of the Orion Art Center’s ‘Mystery Art Tour and Wine Tasting,? set to take place on Friday, April 20, from 6 to 9 p.m.
The evening begins at the OAC, located at 115 S. Anderson Street, and takes participants on a self-guided tour to many area businesses to find answers in the art.
‘There will be art at about 15 different downtown businesses,? said OAC Director Reggie Harrison.
The list of participating businesses includes Accent on Art, Tesori Gifts, SA&A Architects, Global Soccer and many more.
‘We will install art in those particular businesses with some tricky clues,? Harrison promised.
The tour will end at Elements (11 S. Broadway), where guests will be treated to live entertainment by Mark Martin, prizes, gourmet appetizers and a fine wine tasting provided by Positive Vibration Wine Bar.
Harrison said Whiskeys Steakhouse, Poppyseed Deli, CJ’s Sandbar and the Sagebrush Cantina will also be involved with the appetizers.
‘It’s a fun evening out and it gives people an opportunity to go into businesses they might not usually go into,? she noted.
Harrison said only about 80 tickets are available for the event, and many have already been sold.
Tickets cost $25 and are available at Elements and the OAC, or by phone at (248)693-4986.
