The Clarkston Equestrian Team competed in three district meets at the Shiawassee County Fairgrounds on August 21, August 22 and September 11.
The Wolves are a Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association Division C team, competing against teams from Ovid-Elsie, Perry, Notre Dame Prep, Corunna, and Northville in District 11.
The equestrians compete in Western, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat, and Gymkhana events earning points based on their placings.
With a combined total of 411 points, the Clarkston Equestrian Team is the District 11, C Division Grand Champion. Ovid-Elsie is the reserve champion finishing in second place with a total of 398 points. Both teams continue on to the Regional meet October 1-3, 2021.
The Clarkston Equestrian Team consists of senior Brianna Mollette riding Desdemona and Dirty Gold Digger; senior Julia Spadafora riding Tex; and junior Morgan Bodway riding C.S. Tannaz. Mollette, Spadafora and Bodway are from Clarkston High School.
The team is coached by Head Coach Brian Mollette and assistant coaches Abigail Davis, Mandy Mollette, and Nicole Byrd.
