Michael Cook of Schwan’s Home Food Service will not be allowed to solicit in Orion Township.
Cook had requested a soliciator’s permit, to allow him to go door-to-door in the township in order to distribute catalogs for Schwan’s and seek new customers.
Schwan’s offers mostly frozen food, along with some sauces, seasonings and juice. Cook had asked to be allowed to operate between the hours of 9 a.m.-9 p.m., but the township ordinance only allows solicitating between 11 a.m. and one half hour before dusk.
