The Road Commission for Oakland County’s 2019 resurfacing work will include 4.5 miles of Andersonville Road from Farley to Davisburg.
The nearly $25 million preservation overlay, or simple resurfacing, program includes more than 90 miles of roads.
The preservation overlay projects typically involve minimal milling of the road surface, grinding off two inches of bad pavement and applying new asphalt. They usually involve about three days of work over about a two-week period.
The program provides a smooth, new road surface and extends the life of the road by five to 10 years.
