Jan Gabier, of Clarkston, passed away suddenly at home on March 6, 2021 at the age of 82.
Preceded in death by her mother Fayvella McClish.
Sister of L. Wells Gabier, half-sister of Craig Gabier, special aunt of Nicole Upcott, Shane Gabier, Montal Gabier and Dominic Branson, godmother of Mark Klumpp and Brent Nielubowicz.
Jan was a member of St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston. She was employed by the Clarkston School District since 1961, where she served as an English teacher, assistant principal of Clarkston High School and Clarkston Middle School. Jan was also a member and served as a secretary on the state level for the Michigan Council of Teachers of English, served as both secretary and president of Michigan Public Accounting and Attendance Association, Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, and was a former member of Delta Kappa Gamma.
She loved all sporting events.
Friends may visit Friday, March 12 at Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston, from 5-7 p.m. with 25 people at a time rotating/masks required. Funeral mass will be held Saturday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Daniel Catholic Church, Clarkston with visiting directly at the church at 10 a.m. Rite of committal All Saints Cemetery.
