The previously announced closure of the Oakhill Road/Sashabaw Road intersection on the Independence Township/Brandon Township border has been delayed until Sept. 7 due to a utility issue.
Work is expected to finish, and the intersection to re-open, in mid-November. Access to homes and businesses near the intersection will be maintained at all times during the project.
The project is expected to cost approximately $1.23 million. Fifty percent of the cost is funded through a federal safety grant. The remainder will be paid for by RCOC.
