The Brandon boys cross country team fared very well for themselves among their peers Oct. 12.
On that day, the Blackhawks finished 19th out of 39 teams at the Oakland County Meet, tallying 599 points. Brandon finished third among Division 2-4 schools at the meet.
Milford won the meet with 57 points, followed by Novi (68) and Bloomfield Hills Lahser (108).
Brad Lawrence was the lone Blackhawk to finish among the top 100 runners, finishing 88th with a time of 18:09. Trevor DeWitt was next, placing 116th in a time of 18:39, while Chris Holton took 128th (18:49). Adam George rounded out the Brandon scoring by placing 137th (18:57).
Also competing for the Blackhawks at the county meet were Eric Edhe (160th, 19:18) and Blake McLellan (196th, 19:50).
