The staff and students at Bailey Lake enjoyed a production of ‘Substitute Play? on May 24. The play is about a substitute teacher coming into a new classroom of plotting students.
The youngsters know their would-be target ? substitute teacher Mrs. Savitiski ? is on her way and conspire to be mischievous. They plan pranks and name changes in the hopes of having the teacher right where they wanted her.
To the students? surprise, the sub had her own little plan ? to teach the students the art of girning, making a face while reading a passage.
Bailey Lake students were involved with every aspect of the play from costumes to props, invitations to programs.
‘I think the kids did awesome,? said Holly Kornas, talent development specialist. ‘I had goosebumps and I think they did a flawless job.?
