Brandon’s boys cross country team made their last home meet of the regular season a good one.
On Oct. 13, the Blackhawks defeated Lapeer West 22-39, as Brandon placed all seven varsity runners ahead of West’s fifth runner.
Senior Brad Lawrence headed up the Blackhawks? efforts, placing second among all runners with a time of 18:09. Senior Chris Holton finished third (18:31), while sophomore Adam George finished fourth (18:44).
With the win, the Blackhawks ended their Flint Metro League dual meet season at 3-3, which is good for fourth place in the league heading into the league meet Oct. 20 at Byram Lake Park in Linden.
