Christine Marie “Chris” Bollini; 65, of Clarkston; passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024 following a long battle with chronic illness. Chris was born to John and Shirley Posa on November 18, 1958, in Detroit Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley (Gibson) Posa; two brothers, John and Daniel Posa; and her granddaughter Maria Schultz. Chris is survived by her loving husband, Pier, son-in-law, John Schultz, and four daughters: Angela Schultz, Stephanie Bollini, Gina Bollini, and Michelle Bollini. Chris met the love of her life, Pier Marino, at a picnic at the San Marino Club in Troy, Michigan in 1982. They were married in 1985 at the San Francesco church in Mt. Clemons, Michigan.
Chris and Pier built their home in Clarkston where they raised their four daughters. Her love for travel started at her job as a Travel Agent for AAA. Some of her favorite destinations included Tahiti, Alaska, Florence and Hawaii. In the summer, Chris enjoyed trips to visit family in San Marino and was also fond of camping trips throughout the state of Michigan—especially Charlevoix where she loved spending time by Lake Michigan. Music was important to her and she enjoyed attending concerts and listening to all genres of music. She also loved walks in the park, cooking, and above all spending time with her family. Chris made friends wherever she went and maintained many lifelong friendships. She volunteered by fostering dogs with Canine Companions Rescue Center and found forever homes for many dogs she fostered. She dearly loved her own two rescue dogs, Lennie and Cayenne. Chris will be remembered for her kind heart, sincerity, sense of humor, and beautiful smile. She exhibited strength and grace as she battled various health challenges throughout her life. As Chris prioritized finding joy in life and sharing it with others, the family asks that you do the same: go out and do something that brings you real joy with people that you love.Visitation will be held at Lewis E.
