After reading 36 scholarship applications, the Clarkston Area Optimist Club presented $1,000 scholarship awards to three Clarkston High School graduates.
The winners ? Angela Compagnoni, Amanda Leach and Bryce Thompson ‘each wrote a brief essay describing how the Optimist Creed could enrich their lives.
Angela Compagnoni was awarded the Octagon Scholarship for her participation in octagon activities. Both Amanda Leach and Bryce Thompson received the Henry R. Richardson ‘Friend of Youth? scholarship.
