Goodrich – Appointees to fill Goodrich Village Council vacancies were filled Wednesday.
The Genesee County Elections Commission met March 9 to appoint three interim council members to serve on the village council until the May 3 election.
Chosen were Goodrich residents Jay Clothier, Joyce Welch Baker, and Bob Chlebnik.
‘All three said they’re not running for the vacant seats (in May),? said Rob Coffman, Genesee County Elections director, who said the interim council members are ‘only there to be caretakers.?
The appointments went into effect immediately after the commission met, and will remain in effect until results are tallied in the May 3 election, Coffman said.
