Dragons earn title

The Lake Orion High School Varsity Baseball Team will play in Chippewa Valley Regional on Saturday in Clinton Township after taking out Rochester Adams to win their second straight district title.
After defeating Oxford 4-1 in the district semifinal, the Dragons went up against the Highlanders on June 2, winning the game 18-3 in six innings.
The team belted out 14 hits with Josh Regits starting at pitcher for Lake Orion.
Nate Recknagel went 2-for-3 for the Dragons, with two RBI, while teammate Neil Medchill was a perfect 3-for-3, with three doubles and five RBI.
The Dragons made their way into districts by defeating Rochester 21-1 on May 27, after losing the league title to Clarkston a few days earlier.
In that game, Lake Orion had three homeruns, with Regits getting his first homerun of the year.
