Oakland County deputies arrived the mangled remnants of a two-car accident on M-24, just south of Scripps Road, Monday night.
A 19-year-old male driver was driving southbound around 8:20 p.m. when he attempted to pass a second vehicle in the right lane. As the driver completed the pass, he clipped the front end of the second vehicle, sending it out of control. The second vehicle rolled several times as it flew across the median and northbound lanes before landing upright on the east shoulder of the road.
The driver of the first vehicle also lost control, his car landing upside-down on the west shoulder.
Both drivers and a passenger in the second vehicle were transported for medical treatment.
The driver of the first vehicle was issued a ticket for careless driving.
