Green eggs and ham

GOODRICH SCHOOLS – Students at Reid Elementary have their noses in the books to celebrate reading month and to meet a goal of finishing 4,000 books.
“If the students achieve this goal, the school will host a balloon launch to celebrate their achievement,” said principal Paul Minns.
On Monday, March 10 for “Dr. Seuss Day,” kindergarten students got experienced a day in the life of a “Whovillian.”
Kids in Beth Millerschin’s class started the day by making green eggs and ham. Some took the Cat in the Hat’s approach and simply would not eat them.
Students traveled from room to room reading different books, making Whoville hats and enjoying a day of Dr. Seuss.
All month long Reid will have door decorating contest and will be visited by guest speakers. High school students were scheduled Tuesday, March 13 along with the Cat in the Hat himself.
Men from the GM Jumpstart Group will come on March 18 and guest reader State Representative Dave Robertson is scheduled for March 28.
