Goodrich’s golf team is still perfect in Genesee Area Conference competition.
The Martians defeated Bentley 158-172 on Sept. 13 to improve to 3-0 in GAC action. Jared Swanson was the medalist for the meet with a score of 37, while Ben Richards shot 39.
The Martians played two tournaments within one setting Sept. 7 ? and won both.
Goodrich shot 315 to win the Division 3-4 championship at the Byron Invitational at Willowbrook Golf Course. The Martians finished four strokes ahead of Division 1-2 champion Lapeer West (319), and easily outdistanced Division 3-4 runner-up Oakland Christian (332).
The Martians also captured the Genesee Area Conference midseason tournament by finishing ahead of second-place Lake Fenton (338).
Ben Richards and Wes Coleman spearheaded the Martians? cause, each finishing at 75. Nick Wesener shot 81 and Charlie Richards 84 to round out the Goodrich scoring.
