Phyllis A. Weston; born October 25, 1932 in Pontiac to Chester and Marie Campain; of Clarkston; passed away July 1, 2024 at the age of 91.
Mother of Victoria (Nick) Kahaian, Clifford (Teresa) Weston and Wendy (John) Locke; grandma of Melissa (Steven) Speagle, Zachery Philpott, Cole (Skye) Weston and Jared (Olivia) Weston; great grandma “G.G.” of 9; preceded in death by her siblings: Erma McGinnis, Elva Linenkugel and Ken Campain; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Phyllis retired from General Motors as a press operator, having worked on the exact same drill press as her Mother and Son. She then continued to work at ACO (Ace) Hardware until age 81. She had earned her G.E.D. but insisted on returning to high school to attend classes and graduated in full cap/gown in 1975. Phyllis had a green thumb and kept an immaculate yard, even mowing and chain-sawing through her 80’s! She was a woman of faith, reading the Bible daily. She enjoyed bowling and golfing. Family holiday celebrations always were centered at Phyllis’ home and many memories were made on Christmas Eve.
Cremation services entrusted to Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston.
A Memorial Service will be Aug. 24 at 10 a.m at the Lewis E. Wint & Son Funeral Home, Clarkston with visiting beginning at 9 a.m.
Inurnment will be at the Campaign family at Greenwood Cemetery in Marion, MI.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Foundation.
