Nicole Read, Matt Fish, Chris Baumann, AJ Gill, Robbie Lentz and Jeff Heath signed National Letters of Intent Feb. 4.
The letters commit them to the athletic program at the schools they signed with and stop recruiting from other universities and colleges.
Read, a soccer player, is heading to the University of Illinois in the fall to study coaching.
‘I want to be a soccer coach,? she said.
Fish plays baseball and will attend Oberlin College in Ohio. He wants to earn a degree in law and society or economics, and eventually become an entrepreneur.
Baumann, also a baseball player, will head to Earlham College in Indiana to study criminal justice.
‘It’d be cool to work for the FBI,? he said.
Football players Gill and Lentz say they’re traveling north for school. Both signed letters of intent with Northern Michigan University.
Gill wants to study sports medicine or education and Lentz has decided on natural resources.
Heath, also a football player, will attend Saginaw Valley. He says he’s not yet sure what his major will be.
