Tom embraced life to its fullest with a work hard and play harder spirit. He had a quick wit and sense of humor that he love to share with others.
A loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Tom supported family members with enthusiasm, guidance and of course, he loved to share his wisdom from his years of experiences.
Besides his family, Tom’s proudest achievement was his Tour of Duty in the US Navy. He was a Korean War veteran with a lifelong unwavering patriotism for the United States of America, his flag always flying nearby.
Tom loved music especially from his earlier years; Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Patsy Cline were some of his favorites along with sounds from the Big Band Era. Tom also had a passion for cars and sports.
Tom loved the competition as a player, then became a mentor for his girls and grandchildren sport interests. Always a Detroit sports fan, hardly a day went by when Tom and family weren’t cheering on the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions or Pistons; but the Masters and Ryder Cup were his favorites!
Tom is survived by his daughters, Laurie (Robert) Renchik and Dede Anderson; grandchildren: Courtney (John) Gallagher, Jason (Mallory) Hunt, Luke Renchik, Mark (Megan) Anderson, Megan Anderson; great grandchildren: Grant Gallagher, Rylee, Nixon and Lennon Hunt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Miller.
Until God calls us one by one, we will see you again.
