Independence Elementary held their third annual Winter Carnival for students and their families, Friday, Jan. 27.
The carnival included several games ranging from a cake walk to electronic basketball to fowling (knocking over bowling pins with a football), and many traditional carnival games.
Carnival attendees enjoyed cotton candy, caramel corn and pizza during the event, which is put on by the school’s Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO).
Along with the PTO, several other community and school organizations volunteered at the event. Clarkston Family Farm ran the face-painting area and high school groups, such as the National Honors Society, Clarkston High School cheerleaders and the Mimes Troupe, volunteered at the carnival.
