Ben Haas finished his final OAA Red/White Track and Field Championship taking first place in the shot put at Rochester Adams High School last Friday.
The senior finished with his throw measuring 55-01 to take the top placing. He also finished in second place in the discus with 126-09.
The boys team scored 54 points during the meet for fifth place out of ten teams.
Top ten finishers for track events include: in the 400-meter dash, Mark Palmeter, eighth place, 52.83; 800-meter dash, Bo Anderson, sixth, 2:04.46; 1,600-meter run, Andrew Sesti, fourth, 4:28.41; Joey Taverna, eighth, 4:33.80; 110-meter hurdles, Drew Radlick, fifth, 16.27; and 300-meter hurdles, Robert Spencer, sixth, 43.11; Radlick, tenth, 43.84.
For the field events, in the discus, Nick Waszczenko, seventh, 101-06; Jamael McKinney, ninth, 99-01; high jump, Valen Kurmaniak, seventh, 5-06; pole vault, Brendan Farmer, second, 11-06; and long jump, Taverna, sixth, 19-00.5; Palmeter, ninth, 18-03.5.
For relay events, the 800-meter relay team finished in fourth place, 1:33.56; the 1,600-meter relay team, fourth place, 3:35.16; and the 3,200-meter relay team, sixth, 8:51.38.
Lake Orion finished in first place with 125 points. Rochester Adams took second place with 112 points; Stoney Creek, third, 105; and Bloomfield Hills, fourth, 68.
Clarkston Girls Track and Field finished with 49.5 points for seventh place out of nine teams.

For field events, discus, Nicole McCowey, tenth, 71-03; high jump, Lily Kurmaniak, fourth, 4-10; pole vault, Genna Golab, second, 10-06; Hannah Golab, sixth, 9-00; Ashlynn Brooks, ninth, 6-06; and long jump, Emma Larkins, eighth, 14-11.50; Emily Valencia, ninth, 14-06.25.
For relay events, the 3,200-meter relay team finished in second place, 10:02; 400-meter relay team, third, 52.45; and 1,600-meter relay, 4:29.18.
Rochester Adams finished in first place with 125.5 points. Bloomfield Hills finished in second place, 109; Oxford, third, 80.5; Lake Orion, fourth, 76; and Troy, fifth, 53.5.
Clarkston finished their dual meets on Monday, May 10 against Rochester. The boys won their meet, 72-51.
