Woman claims man’s been watching her home

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department investigated a report of stalking on Schorn Drive on May 27.
According to an OCSD report, deputies were contacted by a Schorn Drive woman, who said a man she had not spoken to in over a year had called her home. She met the man while living in Burton and working as a gas station clerk. The man, who she knew only as “Dan,” was an acquaintance who came in almost daily to talk to her.
She said she had “hung out” with the man a few times, but stopped seeing him because he was “weird.” On May 27, she received a phone call from him at her home in Lake Orion, where she lives with her fiance. The man told her he’d been keeping tabs on her, and told her numerous places she had been.
The woman said Dan even mentioned what her fiance looked like, and mentioned a fight she and her fiance had had in their garage the night before. The woman thought Dan was at their home, watching them, and that she’d heard strange noises, including a dog barking more than usual.
Deputies contacted the place where Dan worked in Flint. They were told that Dan had been employed there for a couple of months but was fired.
Deputies were able to contact the man, who said the woman’s fiance had threatened him on the phone. He said the couple had been calling him and harassing him. Deputies told all parties to leave each other alone, and informed Dan of stalking laws.
