Lapeer — Senior Brooke Perry and sophomore Alexandra Brigham will represent Clarkston at the MHSAA Lower Peninsula Track and Field State Championship on June 4.
Brigham finished in first place in the 1,600-meter run at the MHSAA LP Division 1 Region 9 meet on May 20, finishing with the time of 5:16.31.
Perry finished in second place in the 100-meter hurdles in the time of 17.01.
The girls team finished the meet in seventh place out of 13 teams with 56.5 points.
Wolves finishing in the top eight in their events included: in the 400-meter dash, junior Annelise Lemieux in fifth place in the time of 1:03.83; freshman Keira Zorski, sixth, 1:03.84; 3,200-meter run, senior Mackenzie Montigano, eighth, 13:14.53; 300-meter hurdles, Perry, eighth, 52.16; discus, junior Nicole McCowey, third, with distance 94-02; high jump, freshman Carsey Collins, fourth, 5-00; and pole vault, freshman Audrey Morgan, 8-03.
The 400-meter relay team of junior Katrina Massey, freshman Brooke Ratliff, sophomore Cassandra King and junior Jurney Harris finished in third place in the time of 51.58.
Oxford finished in first place with 122.5 points. The top five teams also included Lake Orion in second place with 79.5 points; Fenton, third, 78.5; Walled Lake Northern, fourth, 77.5; and Rochester Adams, fifth, 72
The boys finished in tenth place with 25 points.
Wolves finished in the top eight in their events included: in the 400-meter dash, junior Mark Palmeter in fifth place in the time of 52.32; 1,600-meter run, sophomore Bryce Nowik, fourth, 4:28.44; 3,200-meter senior Hunter Bogar, eighth, 10:31.23; 110-meter hurdles, junior Colin Bastuba, fifth, 16.21; and 300-meter hurdles, senior Robert Spencer, eighth, 43.47.
Rochester Adams finished in first place with 124 points. The top five teams also included Lake Orion in second place with 106 points; Walled Lake Northern, 75.5; Fenton, fourth, 57; and White Lake Lakeland, fifth, 55.

Clarkston Girls Track and Field ruled the 9th Grade Oakland County Championships at Memorial Field with a first place finish, May 24.
They finished with 76 points for first place out of 27 teams.
The top eight finishes in the track events were: in the 200-meter dash, Keira Zorski in third place in the time of 27.13; Brooke Ratliff, fifth, 27.71; 400-meter dash, Zorski, third, 1:02.68; 1,600-meter run, Kendall Sieradski, sixth, 6:05.45; and 300-meter hurdles, Carsey Collins, eighth, 54.19.
The 3,200-meter relay team with Sieradski, Lauren Williams, Lily Miles and Ava Lonteen finished in first place in the time of 11:06.57.
The 800-meter relay team of Collins, Ratliff, Zorski and Lily Banka finished in second place in the time of 1:51.54. The 1,600-meter relay team of Zorski, Banka, Williams and Scarlett Keenan finished in second place, 4:25.12.
The top eight finshes in the field events were: in the high jump, Collins with distance of 5-0; long jump, Collins, first, 15-0.75; and Keenan, seventh, 13-08.75.
The top five teams also included Farmington Hills Mercy in second place with 57 points; Oxford, third, 51; Oak Park, fourth, 39; and West Bloomfield, fifth, 36.
The boys team finished in fifth place out of 26 teams with 42 points.
The top eight finishes in the track events were: in the 200-meter dash, Gabe Van Goor in the time of 24.32; 400-meter dash, Van Goor, third, 53.64; 3,200-meter run, Cayden DeGrendel, second, 10:31; and Jaxson Nowik, eighth, 10:53.64.
The top eight finishes in field events were: in the high jump, Thomas Schafer in fifth place with finish of 5-06; and pole vault, Evan Savoie, second, 10-06.
Orchard Lake St. Mary’s finished in first place with 82 points. The top five teams also included West Bloomfield in second place with 78 points; Lake Orion, third, 57.5; and Walled Lake Central, fourth, 49.5.
