Clarkston Everest Collegiate finished as champions at the MHSAA Division 4 Boys Golf Regional 24 at Fountains Golf Course, May 31.
They finished with 306 for the day. Junior Remy Stalcup finished in first place with a 65, going five under.
Freshman Parker Stalcup finished in fourth place with a 78; senior Johnny Nedwick, sixth place, 81; and freshman Will Pennanen, tenth, 82. Junior Matthew Neme finished with 103.
The top two team qualifiers for the state championship also included Riverview Gabriel Richard in second place with 346; and Royal Oak Shrine Catholic, third, 348.
The MHSAA Division 4 Boys Golf State Championship is at Forest Akers West at Michigan State University in East Lansing, June 10-11.
The Mountaineers finished as champions in the MHSAA Division 4 Girls Soccer District 56 final on Friday with a 2-0 win over Orchard Lake St. Mary’s.
They won the district semifinal against Oakland Christian on May 31, 4-1. The goals came from Erica Walker, Celeste James, Avery Herrgott and Scarlett Hamilton. They competed in the Division 4 Regional 14 semifinal on Tuesday. The winner moves on to the regional final on Saturday at Royal Oak Shrine Catholic, 12 p.m.
Clarkston Everest Collegiate 400-meter relay team finished in first place during the MHSAA Division 4 Track and Field State Championship on Saturday.
The relay team, which includes freshman Kevin Cronin, senior Antonio Santoro, senior John Morrison and senior Gavin Ryeson, finished in the time of 44.17.
Ryeson finished All-State in both hurdle events. He finished third in the 300-meter hurdles in 40.91, setting a new school record and personal record. He finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles, 16.09.
Finishes from the boys also included: in the 400-meter dash, sophomore Ravi Iyer in 22nd place in the time of 54.35, setting a new school record; and shot put, Morrison, ninth, distance of 45-11.
For the girls, the 400-meter relay team with freshman Madelyn Krappmann, sophomore Kathleen Thibodeau, junior Stephanie Suran and junior Jessie Burns finished in ninth place, 53.29, setting a new school record.
The Mountaineers finished the 63rd Oakland County Championship at Clarkston High School with four medalists, May 27.
Ryeson finished in seventh place in both the 110-meter hurdles, 15.58; and the 300-meter hurdles, 41.02.
Morrison finished in eighth place in the shot put with distance of 41-11.
The boys 400-meter relay team finished in sixth place with the team of Morrison, Ryeson, Cronin and Santoro, 44.71. Morrison finished in 14th place in the 100-meter dash in the time of 11.65; and Santoro finished in 16th place, 11.78.
Sophomore Kathleen Thibodeau finished in 20th place in the 100-meter dash for the girls, 13.65.
