Kickers shut out teams in Lapeer

Clarkston Boys Varsity Soccer opened their OAA Red league play with a 3-3 tie against Troy Athens, Aug. 30.
“We played really well,” said Ian Jones, head coach. “The second half we controlled it. I was more than happy. Further in the season we are going to be a very hard team to stop.”
Richie Ludwig, Brad Ratcliff and Sebi Roy scored in the game.
The Wolves dominated the Lapeer tournament with three shutouts, Aug. 27.
“We have had quite a lot of injuries so we are just now getting people back. It was nice for them to get some game time.”
Clarkston had a 7-0 win over Linden with goals from Ludwig, Roy, Cole Cooper, Connor Laming and Sean Trador.
They had a 3-0 win over Haslett with goals from Laming, Cooper and Brendan Gerard.
Ludwig scored the lone goal in the 1-0 win over Lapeer.
Clarkston opened the week with a home game against Lake Orion on Tuesday. They head to Oxford High School on Thursday.
“You never know what will happy but we are very confident going into those games,” said Jones.
They head to Rochester Adams on Tuesday, September 13. JVA plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
JVB heads to Bloomfield Hills on Wednesday and hosts Troy Athens on Sept. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
