Ruling the ice: Clarkston Varsity Hockey wrapped their game with three goals in the third period in their 10-2 win over Birmingham Unified last Friday.
The Wolves led the game 2-1 after the first period and added five more goals to their tally in the next period.
Blake Botterill led with two goals and one assist for the night. Devon Collis also scored two goals.
Brendan Rhodes and Dutch Snyder each had one goal and one assist. Ryan Lemker, Evan Adams, Logan Golub and Tyler Wilford each scored one goal.
Brady Earing had four assists. Theo Walker and Ron Wade each had three assists. Eric Wade had two assists. George Walker, Frank Stanek, Merek Drennan and Trey Damian each had one assist. Calum Hunter made 14 saves in the net.
The Wolves (5-0) play Lake Orion (3-1-1) on Thursday at 8:15 p.m. They host M-1 Griffins (0-3-1) on Saturday, 8 p.m. Both games are at Detroit Skating Club, 888 Denison Court in Bloomfield Hills.
Success on the lanes: Clarkston Boys and Girls Bowling teams opened the season at the North Farmington Early Bird Tournament at Century Bowl on Saturday.
Sophomore Katie Stephens had high game 225 and high series of 607 for the girls. The girls finished in seventh place out of 17 teams during the tournament. The boys team finished in 15th place out of 27 teams.
The Wolves opened the week with the OAA Singles at Collier Lanes. They head to 300 Bowl on Thursday for their meet against Bloomfield Hills, 3:30 p.m.
Ready to start competition: Clarkston Boys Basketball teams played Stevenson on Tuesday and head to University of Detroit Jesuit on Saturday.
Clarkston Wrestling teams compete on Friday at Warren Woods Tower and head to Howell for tournaments on Saturday.
Clarkston Competitive Cheer is at the CCAM Invite at Troy on Saturday.
