Wolfpack Update for May 1, 2024

Clarkston Boys Golf
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Golf team took first place at the Farmington Hills Invite last Friday with a 314.
They had three medalists with senior Sam Studak with a 75; senior Austin Summers, 77; and freshman Chris Quayle, 78. Junior Brady Ebling had a 84 for the day and senior Luke Brody had a 87.
They tied for third place in the Indianwood Invitational last week with a 326. Studak and Quayle led, both hitting a 78 for the day. Senior Owen Cameron had a 84; junior Vinny Giannini, 86; and junior Braden Waechter, 88.
JVA ended last week, tying with Rochester Adams with a 170. Sophomore Anthony Dubeck led with a 40; freshman Matthew Drake, 42; sophomore Ryan Wilford, 43; junior Finn Mooney, 45; junior Frank Stanek, 48; and junior Zach Petterson, 54.
JVA and JVB played in their first tournament last week at the Davison Cardinal JV Invite at Davison Country Club.
JVA finished in first place with four golfers in the top ten with Elbing in fifth place with a 80; Drake, sixth, 81; Stanek, seventh, 85; and Mooney, ninth, 86. JVB finished in fourth place and had sophomore Brock Van Etten finish in first place with a 77.
Clarkston Girls Lacrosse
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Lacrosse team finished last week with a 13-7 win over West Bloomfield last Friday. They opened the week with a 20-10 loss to Troy Athens, April 22.
The Wolves (2-6) play at Waterford Kettering today, May 1, 6 p.m. They host Notre Dame Prep on Saturday during Game for Hope. Varsity plays at 1:30 p.m., JV follows.
Clarkston Boys Lacrosse
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Lacrosse team went 1-2 last week, beginning with a 10-9 win over Stoney Creek, April 23.
Lucas Diton led the Wolves against the Cougars with three goals and two assists. Ellis York had two goals and three assists. Parker Royce had two goals and one goal. Charlie Formaro, Brendan Weich and Joe Rottenberk each had one goal. Luke Darnell had one assist. Robert Haracic had 11 saves.
The Wolves lost to Birmingham Seaholm last Thursday, 19-9. Nick Ferman had two goals and two assist. Diton and Kendall Makouen each had two goals and one assist. Formaro had two goals Royce had one goal. York, Ty Duffy and Denny Wandrei each had one assist.
Clarkston lost at East Grand Rapids on Saturday, 21-5. York had two goals and one assist. Diton had one goal and one assist. Darnell and Ferman each had one goal and Royce had one assist.
The Wolves (6-5) head to Rochester Adams on Thursday. They host Romeo on Saturday during their annual Game for Hope event and Lake Orion on Monday, May 6. For both games, JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
Clarkston Baseball
The Clarkston Varsity Baseball team lost against Rochester Adams last week.
The Highlanders won each of the three games in the OAA Red series, 11-1, 9-1 and 4-0.
After a delay on Saturday due to weather, the Wolves lost to Macomb Dakota, 11-2 and 7-5.
They opened their 3-game series against Rochester on Monday. They host Rochester on Thursday, May 2 at 4:30 p.m. They play at Woodhaven on Saturday and play South Lyon at Comerica Park, 1 p.m.

Clarkston Varsity Softball
The Clarkston Varsity Softball team went 1-3 last Saturday with a 8-0 win over Anchor Bay and dropping to Hartland, 8-0, and Walled Lake Northern, 6-1.
The Wolves (1-6) opened this week with a double header against North Farmington. They head to Lake Orion on Thursday and Divine Child on Friday. They host a double header against Stoney Creek on May 7, 4:30 p.m.
