Clarkston Girls Basketball
Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball team went 2-0 last week with wins over Northville, 53-51; and Troy, 61-45.
In the Wolves’ win over Northville last Friday, Elia Morgner led with 16 points. Brooklyn Covert and Elliana Robak each scored ten points.
In Clarkston’s win over Troy on Dec. 10, Robak led with 21 points. Covert scored 11 points and Bella Flavin had seven points.
The Wolves opened the week against Father Gabriel Richard. They host Lake Fenton on Friday. JV plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows. The varsity team heads to Detroit Country Day on Monday, Dec. 30, 5:30 p.m.
Clarkston Competitive Cheer
The Clarkston Varsity Competitive Cheer team finished in fourth place in the Competitive Cheer Coaches of Michigan Scholarship Invitational at Troy High School on Friday.
They scored a total of 696.98 points in the CCCAM meet, with 208.2 points scored in the first round; 203.28, second round; and 293.5, third round.
The Clarkston JV team finished in third place with 600 points. The Wolves scored 189.1 points in the first round; 150.3, second round; and 260.6, third round.
The Wolves compete in the first OAA Red League Meet today, Wednesday, Dec. 18 at Stoney Creek, 6:30 p.m. They head to Troy Athens when they return from holiday break for the second OAA Red League Meet on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 6:30 p.m.
