CLARKSTON — The Wolves’ win over Northville last Friday marked Clarkston Boys Varsity Basketball Head Coach Tim Wasilk’s 100th win, joining Coach Dan Fife and Dom Mauti in the achievement.
“I had no idea to tell you the truth,” Wasilk shared. “It’s cool, following in Coach Fife’s footsteps. You learn from him. Credit to our coaching staff, our administration, and the support from our community. We’ve got good kids on our team. They buy into what we do so it makes it fun and it makes it easy. Without the support of everyone else and great staff and good players, it doesn’t happen.”
Wasilk received a commemorative basketball from Eric Chambers, former assistant coach.
Wasilk, a 1996 graduate of Clarkston High School, took over as head coach when Fife retired in September 2018. Wasilk was assistant coach for the boys varsity basketball team from 2015-2018, after being at the helm for the Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball team for ten years. —W.R.P.
