The Oxford Varsity Basketball Team has continued a downward trend in Flint Metro League Competition: the ladies lost 50-37 on Sept. 28 to Linden and 42-30 on Sept. 30 to Brandon.
Against Linden, Megan Stumph was the high scorer with 12 points, followed by Kacey Cookingham with 10. Linden completed the game top in the league with a 5-0 record.
Against Brandon, Cookingham again led the Lady Cats shooting with eight points.
The team now stands 1-9 overall and 0-4 in the Flint Metro League as they prepare to take on the Holly Bronchos Thursday. The team returns home on Oct. 12 for their first round against Lapeer East and then remains home for non-league competition against Richmond on Oct. 14.
