Learning to be a good scout

About 175 Girl Scouts from Lake Orion and Oxford participated in a week- long annual camp at Addison Oaks County Park in Leonard, from July17-21.
The campers took part in a variety of activities ranging from swimming and crafts, to singing and nature projects. The older scouts had an opportunity to do some archery as well, and also took part in an overnight camping trip before the last day of camp.
Grls from grades 1-12 participated in the camp, which was put on entirely by some 35 parent volunteers.
The theme of this year’s camp was ‘Sister Lakes on the Marquee,? and the various units took part in theatre, dance and art projects that fit in with the theme.
