The Morgan sisters proved to be the difference as host Goodrich swept New Lothrop in a April 11 doubleheader.
The Martians defeated the Blue Devils 4-2 in the opener and 2-1 in the nightcap, improving to 4-0 overall and 2-0 league play.
Senior Jessica Morgan overcame a 2-0 first-inning deficit to pick up the win for the Martians in the opener. She allowed only three hits in the contest, and one of the two New Lothrop runs was unearned.
Leadoff hitter Kelsey Krych ignited the Martians? offense with two hits and two stolen bases, while Ashley Short also contributed two hits.
In the nightcap, Morgan’s younger sister, sophomore Tori, threw a one-hitter in eight innings of work as the Martians completed the sweep.
