Oxford men charged with home invasion, concealing stolen property

After a three to six-week span of various home invasions in the township and village, three Oxford residents and two Orion residents have been arrested.
Last Monday, an Oakland County Sheriff’s deputy from the Oxford substation stopped a suspicious 20-year-old village man on his bike in the Lake Villa Mobile Home Park on Lakeville Rd.
Lieutenant Tom Parker of the Oxford Sheriff’s Substation said the deputy recognized the bike as one being stolen five days before.
Using information from the individual, Parker said deputies located a trailer in the park where two males, 19-year-old Chrischun Lawrence Hendrickson from the township and 17-year-old Jesse Scott Miller from the village, responsible for the various home invasions were found.
The next morning at 8:15 a.m., sheriff’s deputies from Orion and Oxford raided a duplex home on Heights and Hemingway roads in Orion, where they found a 23-year-old man and his 22-year-old girlfriend.
But Parker said they found more than just the stolen laptops and firearms.
Deputies found drying marijuana plants, packaging material, scales, packaged marijuana, a little over $1,600 in cash and a taser.
The Orion man also had five outstanding misdemeanor warrants with $23,000 in bond money.
Parker said the Oxford men were stealing the items, storing them at the Orion home and selling them for a markdown.
Hendrickson was charged Thursday at the 52-3 District Court with one count each of first degree home invasion and of receiving and concealing stolen property over $1,000. Each count has a $15,000 no 10 percent cash surety bond.
Miller was also charged Thursday with four counts of receiving and concealing stolen property. Each count has a $5,000 no 10 percent cash surety bond.
‘Warrants are still being pursued on the individual from Orion in the drug end of it,? Parker said. ‘They required a little more information.?
An exam for Hendrickson and Miller has not been set yet.
