From their home to yours

If you’ve ever wished for a pair of extra hands to help you with your chores, that wish may have come true.
Oxford residents and neighbors Kristin Pavliscak and Megean Clancy just opened their new business called Home Sweet Home, which is focused on making life easier for others.
Clancy had the idea to start a commercial and residential cleaning business, but then realized there was a need for more than just cleaning.
Home Sweet Home offers pet assistance, various concierge services and also handyman services to the north Oakland and Lapeer counties.
‘We just started coming up with different ideas that kind of all come together in a way,? Pavliscak said. ‘We feel it’s needed around here, because we don’t know anybody that offers, besides cleaning, much of anything else.?
For $25 a day the pet services include feeding and watering, walking, and just being a companion to your pet while you are away.
‘They can stay in the comfort of their own home yet be taken care of,? Pavliscak said.
Concierge services include grocery shopping, running errands, mailing services, dry cleaning, senior companionship and even meal preparation.

The two women, or their crew of three, will either come to the client’s house to cook, or cook from their homes. Menus will be available on their website to choose from and special request can be taken.
‘This girl can cook,? Pavliscak said pointing to Clancy.
Clancy’s husband, Chris Giolitti, will take care of the handyman services, such as snow removal, lawn care and home repairs.
If your closet or rooms are cluttered and unbearable to look at, Home Sweet Home will also do custom organization to put your life back in order.
‘We’re a one-call stop,? Clancy said.
Pavliscak and Clancy both agree that it’s not only important for Home Sweet Home to offer assistance to other busy moms, but to senior citizens.
‘They’re saying that by the year 2010 more than half of the population will be over the age of 65,? Pavliscak said. ‘If we develop now it would be extremely needed in the future.?
The women hope to one day extend their business to southern Oakland County and Macomb County, but right now they don’t want to bite off more than they can chew.
‘We won’t take on more than we can handle because then your quality starts going down,? Clancy said.
Right now, Home Sweet Home will beat whatever cleaning services you use by 10 percent and offers senior citizens a 10 percent discount on all services.
