Goodrich’s varsity boys golf team fared very well for themselves against their fellow Division 3-4 schools at the Genesee County Meet.
Goodrich finished 10th out of 19 teams at the meet, held at Spring Meadows Country Club in Linden. The Martians shot a team score of 343.
However, the Martians finished second out of the Division 3-4 teams at the meet. Flint Powers won both the Division 3-4 section as well as the overall meet with a team score of 300.
Grand Blanc placed second overall (311) and Flushing third (315).
Caleb Jones led the Martians with a round of 83, while Wes Coleman and Paul Bermudez each finished at 85. Rounding out the Goodrich scoring were Matt Christensen (90) and Tyler Frantangelo (95).
The Martians were scheduled to take on New Lothrop and Byron in a Genesee Area Conference meet Sept. 21 at Twin Brooks Golf Course in Chesaning.
