As of Nov. 1, POH Medical Center of Oxford can treat more than just bumps and bruises.
The center is now open 24/7 and offers walk-in services for urgent emergency care, laboratory service and general X-ray.
Other services include occupational health services such as worker? compensation injuries, breath alcohol draws and drug screens just to name a few.
Most importantly, the staff at POH wants to make sure residents know any health emergency can be treated at the center.
‘We were most concerned that someone having chest pain drives by thinking we can’t treat them and that could be a fatal mistake,? said Tracey Zambeck, marketing representative for POH Medical Center of Oxford.
Zambeck said patients can be stabilized during an emergency and transferred wherever they wish to go.
