Local scout looking for help with Eagle project

Local Boy Scout, Eric Jickling, is working on his Eagle Scout project and needs your help.
Jickling drives down Ray Rd. every day and noticed the land on the corner of Delano and Ray roads leaves something to be desired.
The corner property is overgrown in invasive species, like bittersweet vines, and is destroying the trees and plants slowly, but surely.
‘Bittersweet was imported from Asia and it climbs up trees and strangles them,? Jickling said. ‘They’ll just die off.?
Jickling had to contact the owner of the property and the Oakland Land Coservancy to get permission to clear the area for his project.
‘They were like, ‘go for it,? he said.
Jickling estimates that the clearing of the land will take six days, weather permitting. He said about 11 kids from his troop will help, but would love help from anyone in the community.
Instead of destroying all of the bittersweet, Jickling said he will pile it up in certain areas for small animals to borough in.
‘Chipmunks, foxes and squirrels use it,? he said.
Jickling has been a boy scout with Troop 360 out of Auburn Hills for four years and said he joined after he saw how much fun his older brother had.
He will become an official Eagle Scout in six months after he receives three more badges and said his higher ranking will help him out in the future.
‘It helps out a lot with college and business resumes,? he said.
