Leonard Elementary reads 9,723 books

Leonard Elementary students had a goal to read more than 3,000 books during March is Reading Month.
We’re happy to report they not only beat their lofty goal, they oblitertated it!
The school read a grand total of 9,723 books during March. As a reward for their efforts, Principal Joyce Brasington will have a bucket of ice cold Gatorade dumped on her head like a winning coach.
Doing the dumping will be teacher Jennifer Clemens? first/second grade class who read 1,429 books, the most of any class in the entire school. Way to go!
