Tennis anyone? Players hit the courts

The summer heat couldn’t stop enthusiastic tennis players of all ages from getting out on the court last week.
In all, coach Eric Bracciano said he had 280 sign up for a variety of summer sessions, with ages ranging from five-years-old to adults.
‘Most of the young kids that are out here are new to the game,? Bracciano said, noting he and his assistants would do drills to pique the interest of the budding player.
‘When you get into the middle school and high school ages, those kids are more familiar with the game,? he added.
There’s no doubt that the camp saw its fair share of cutthroat games between the older players in the process.
For Bracciano, giving proper instruction, especially to the younger players, is the top priority.
‘To me, this is the key to making our high school program better,? he said.
