Soldier returns to Clarkston

Army Staff Sgt. Caine Johnson returned home from Germany on July 25 to a grand ‘welcome home’party with family.
Johnson, a 1991 graduate of Waterford Kettering High School, is living in Clarkston for the first time. ‘We’ll be here for a while,? Johnson said.
Johnson is home with his family ? wife Tonya and children, Zachariah 14 and Malaina 10 ? for the first time in three years.
Johnson served in the service in the mid 1990’s and he home until the war in Iraq compelled him to volunteer again.
‘A lot of people didn’t agree with my going back in,? Johnson said. ‘I felt an obligation to go back in.?
Now that he is home again, Johnson said that he is hanging out and spending time with his family and getting ready for classes to begin at Oakland University in Rochester.
Johnson already has his associate’s degree and is looking to gain his bachelor’s degree from OU.
‘It’s going to be weird going back to work,? Johnson said.
